Hi All,
I just picked up the latest edition of a top interior designer magazine (whose name shall remain anonymous) and look what they’re calling ‘stylish’.
‘Pallets’ and ‘chip board’ Yes folks, that’s ‘chip board’ for the flooring and ‘pallets’ for the bed. Are they kidding? Did they honestly think this looks good???
The next thing you know they’ll be pushing cardboard banana boxes for tables.
Sorry ‘nameless top designer magazine’. Nobody’s buying it and you shouldn’t be selling it!
Have a nice Sunday.

I agree Mark – this looks horrid. Sometimes I find that some designers just try way too hard to be interesting. I do remember when I was a starving student and was forced to decorate with orange crates, milk crates, and a broken ikea futon frame – not a look I am keen to recreate..

Hi Terri,
My thoughts exactly!
Thanks for responding.

I really don’t think that the first thing I want to do when I get out of bed in the morning is to pull slivers out of my feet. The log is a “nice” touch should you want to throw it on the fire. I don’t know a lot about decorating but I sure hope this doesn’t catch on.

Hi John,
Nice to hear from you! I have chip board on parts of my cabin up north. I guess I can just leave it now and call it ‘intentionally designed’
Hope you and Cynthia and well.
